History

Applied Technology Corporation (ATC), originally founded on May 1984 as a broker of IBM used machines, which had been traded very actively all over the world. ATC became a price leader in that field and accomplished $60 million sales in 1987, which proved that ATC was No.1 trader in Japan. Due to the decline of such main frames, ATC walked in the business for software; both marketing U.S. packages and developing custom applications in 1989.

These new challenges helped ATC to build up strong background to support total solution for major enterprises. In 1997, ATC started to offer new rental program for PC's, servers and various network products with full maintenance, help desk service, full insurance and various optional services, which called "PC Rental Plus". ATC shipped approximately 20,000 units of PC's to 700 end users in the first 24 month and had great success in this field. It was a new challenge for ATC to expand our network business in 2001. We recognized most of the users have been suffered with their high cost for network products, tools, software, management, support, human resources and others. We decided to rebuild our organization as a total network solution provider, which are enable to supply unique services such as remote-maintenance, consulting and new wireless-network solutions with very low cost.

And also in 2002, we have kicked off to offer Cisco products with reasonable price to the companies in Japan, including many big name companies. Now we are the pioneers for used, refurbished market of Cisco products in Japan.

ATC expanded the offer such as various IT equipment Rentals, Operating Leases, Self-maintenance support and buy/sell all kinds of IT equipments to end users and international traders.
ATC is additionally looking for the new business area in the medical equipments today.
